Recreation

The Rureifel is an ideal recreational region within reach. From Cologne, Düsseldorf or Krefeld using the A1 (E39), taking exit “Erftstadt”. From Aachen, Belgium or the Netherlands using the A4 (E40), taking exit “Düren”.

The Rureifel can be explored afoot, by bike, boat, horses, public transportation, and in many other ways. For those, in search of a sportive challenge, Düren and its surrounding towns offer many possibilities, including an 18-hole golf course with challenging forest fairways. The golf course lies within reach of our hotel (5 minutes by car).

Only 20 minutes away from our hotel, one can visit the castle of Nideggen (1177 BC) or stroll through the cosy village of Heimbach.

The region offers plenty of recreational opportunities. Forests, lakes and rivers, castles, historical buildings, world war memorials of the region, and especially the first national park of Nordrhein-Westfalen (The Eifel) are a trademark of our region. There are plenty of theme-oriented hiking trails which offer relaxing activities in nature — an invitation to take a breath and loosen up on every step taken.
